A very well attended public meeting on Tuesday 16 June saw 50 villagers decide unanimously to oppose the proposed Byram Windfarm.

It was agreed that an action Group would be formed and this met on 30 June to formulate an action plan.

The first steps to be taken by the action group will be :-

1. Raise awareness of the proposal

• "Stop the wind farm" posters are being put up around the village
• Other events are planned to ensure that all villagers are aware of the proposals and the impact they would have on the villages of Burton Salmon and Poole.

2. Information gathering

Team members have agreed a plan whereby they will gather as much information as possible about the wind farm and how it will impact on the area.
