Woodlane and Bishopwood applications have been received and luminous signs about the application have been posted on signs around the villages. SDC have written to everybody telling them how they can make their views known.

There is some confusion about the date that objection letters must be received by SDC - some letters to householders said 30 July, while some of the luminous signs said before 4 August. It has been confirmed that letters received on Monday 3 August will be accepted.

Please await guidance from us before sending in letters. Our guidance has already been issued in some areas and will follow elsewhere. It is not difficult and you still have penty of time. If you are going away please get in touch by e-mail and let us have your full name and address plus telephone number. Please follow the guidance as carefully as you can, it is important that we all get this right.

The application is four large volumes and we are still working through it to identify all of the problems. These will be reflected in our guidance for writing objection letters.

Please do not be intimidated in rushing your letter in too early because you received a letter from SDC.The SDC letter is a standard letter to neigbours of a development - its just that this one is so big and will be seen by so many people that SDC have decided to give as many people as possible the opportunity to comment.

Further information is being provided via our e-mail service.

Please use this link to send us an e-mail containing your name, address, postcode and telephone number ( land line and mobile ) and we will add you to the list.

The applications are available for inspection during normal hours at

Access Selby - 8 -10 Market Cross ( the old Argos shop )
