Wind turbines drive electricity bills higher and higher.

Most wind farms are foreign owned so the extra money

you pay ends up going to Europe.

How did we get in this mess?

Cost of wind farms.

The national press, especially the Daily Mail has been telling trying to make the British public aware of the extent to which Green taxes and hidden subsidies for wind farms are making electricity more expensive.

In June they had an article  -

The REAL reason fuel bills are going through the roof? Crackpot green taxes you're never even told about.

The article explains the subsidy that we all pay to wind farms via our electricity bills and the extra tax that is made on other power stations to deliberately make them more expensive so that wind farms can be more profitable.

The net result - electricity bills increased by an average of £200.

“The problem is that renewable energy — most of which comes from on- and off-shore wind farms, solar panels and biomass plants (power stations fuelled by wood chippings and agricultural matter) — is between three and five times more expensive than power from conventional sources such as coal or gas.”

Green 'tax' to rise every year... but don't worry, ministers claim overall bills will be lower - because their policies will make you use less energy

On November 24 the Daily Mail provided us with further information -

Households currently pay £89 a year on their bills for the green energy drive, but this will increase every year to reach £280 by 2020, according to the Government’s Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC).

A statement by Chris Huhne, Energy Minister confirms that it is the Governments intention that we should all be forced through deliberate price rises to reduce our consumption of electricity.

In a bizarre statement, energy and climate change secretary Chris Huhne told the House of Commons that his policies mean consumers will actually be better off.

He said: ‘By 2020, we expect household bills to be 7 per cent – or £94 – lower than they would otherwise be without our policies.  Because they will use one third less electricity.
